There is a misconception that a Robot is a replica of a human, because it portrays, behaves, acts and resembles human beings in appearance or performs functions in a humanlike manner.
A robot is a virtual or mechanical artificial agent. In practice, it is usually an electro-mechanical machine which is guided by computer or electronic programming, and is thus able to do tasks on its own. It is also mechanized to reduce human efforts.
Some robots are built to look like people. They have arms, legs, a head and a body. Some even have faces and hair and wear clothes! Other robots are only an arm or hand, if that is all that is necessary to perform their work. In outer space, a robotic arm is usually all that is needed.
The people-type robots can be given "eyes" to see. Actually, the eyes are sensors to keep the robot from bumping into things. Sensors can be "ears," so the robot can obey commands, or sensors can be put into the robot's fingers so it can "feel" what it is holding.
But some robots can recognize cues from a person's behavior and respond to them. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
Robots are widely used in manufacturing, assembly and packing, transport, earth and space exploration, surgery, weaponry, laboratory research, and mass production of consumer and industrial goods.
Today, robots are useful for both work and entertainment, and they will be used for many more things in the future!
All of these are basically robots. They all are of different thought.
Basics of a Level 1 Robot
The basic components of a Level 1 robot are as follows
1.Wired Control Robot:
“Robots controlled with an attached wire onto the switches used to move the robot for specific task”.

2.Wireless Robotics (RC Control):
"Robots controlled through a remote .Now you need not move along with the robot while its navigation”.
With this workshop, we ensure that the participants master electronics, mechanics and computer programming for robot motion control. And the added attraction “SPEECH CONTROL”. Imagine a robot being incorporated with artificial intelligence and computer control along with its electrical circuit .This is “Technology” and as we have mentioned earlier its not any stream specific, i.e. all technical departments will have a common base for education.
